Jefferson Residents Directory is a privately operated reference to public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections concerning Jefferson, New Jersey. It links to sources that may identify current or past residents, but it does not host government records and is not affiliated with a government office, court, or records custodian.
2. Permitted Use Rules
Use this service only for lawful purposes. You may not use it, or information reached through it, to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm another person
- Find a person protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit fraud or identity theft
- Make an FCRA-regulated decision involving credit, employment, tenant, or insurance matters
- Systematically scrape, reproduce, or republish the service’s content
- Disrupt the service’s operation or compromise its security
3. No Consumer Reporting Service
Jefferson Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Nothing on this service, or returned by a linked search tool, is a consumer report. It may not be used to determine eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose governed by the FCRA.
4. Third-Party Resources
Government portals, archives, libraries, and sponsored search services are independent services with their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control their content, availability, prices, or data handling.
5. No Warranties
This service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that its content is accurate, complete, or current, or that an outside portal will be available or return correct results.
6. Liability Limits
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of this service or a linked resource, including decisions based on records found through them.
7. Your Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the service operators from claims, demands, and reasonable attorneys’ fees caused by your misuse of the service or violation of these terms.
8. Intellectual Property
The service’s original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. You may link to pages and quote brief excerpts with attribution, but may not republish whole pages or systematically copy the content.
9. Updates to These Terms
We may post a revised version of these terms at any time. Use of the service after that posting constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

We may suspend, block, or limit access for a user who violates these terms or misuses the service. We may do so without notice and at our discretion.
11. New Jersey Law
New Jersey law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. For records held by public custodians, access and exemptions are governed by the New Jersey Open Public Records Act, P.L. 2001, c. 404, N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq., as amended. That statute does not make this privately operated service a government records custodian.
12. Severability
If a provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
